Numerology is a tradition with roots in Pythagorean number mysticism, popularised in its modern form in the 20th century. There is no scientific evidence that it predicts personality. Read it as a reflection prompt.
Why master numbers matter
Most schools of numerology stop reducing when they reach 11, 22 or 33, because repeated digits are considered to double the energy of the base number (11 → 2, 22 → 4, 33 → 6). How do I calculate my life path number?
Reduce your birth month, day and year to single digits separately (keeping 11, 22 and 33), add the three results, then reduce again. For 29 November 1990: month 11 (master), day 2 + 9 = 11 (master), year 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 → 10 → 1. Then 11 + 11 + 1 = 23 → 5.
What are master numbers?
In numerology, 11, 22 and 33 are master numbers. They are not reduced to 2, 4 or 6 and are said to carry a more intense version of those numbers' traits.
Which life path number is the rarest?
Among real birth dates, 33 is the rarest because it needs a specific combination of master-number parts. 11 and 22 are also uncommon. The single digits are spread fairly evenly.
Is the life path number the same as a birthday number?
No. The birthday number is just the day of the month you were born, reduced (e.g. the 29th → 11). The life path uses the whole date.
